This makes IBP CAS the first institution in the Czech Republic and the entire region to adopt this groundbreaking device. The&nbsp;BD Biosciences FACSDiscover\u2122 S8 Cell Sorter with BD CellView\u2122 Image Technology can perform precise cell sorting using real-time image analysis of cells or fluorescent signals from any of 78 detectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the support of The Czech Republic Academy of Sciences, we can use and offer this technology for new scientific exploration and discovery in immunology, cell, and cancer biology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The S8 is equipped with five lasers (349, 405, 488, 561, and 637 nm), 78 algorithmically optimized fluorescent APDs that cover the full spectrum, and a Self-Aware System for automatic spectral unmixing. The emission spectrum of each fluorochrome is captured across the various detectors and then combined to create a spectral signature that integrates emission data from all five excitation wavelengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BD CellView\u2122 Image Technology allows for the composition of images from laser beamlets, enabling real-time imaging for sorting purposes. This technology permits sorting based on these imaging parameters while integrating and upgrading traditional fluorescent parameters. The image module employs a blue laser and generates three scatter parameters along with three fluorescent parameters.
